I orginally posted this in the LicensingThread but got no response, so here I go again.

I have BES for Exchange ver 4.1 that I installed on a fresh server and migrated the data over onto early last year. I had a problem with the license keys were a few gave me a "incompatible with the current keys" tye error. RIM helped me(for free) by informing me that my licenses needed to be installed in a specific order because we origianlly started off with the SBE version and then upgraded via the unlock license/CAL. Well, I just got around trying to do this and it will not allow me to remove the last key. The option to remove is grayed out when I highlight the key. Miraculously this time when I contacted RIM they were not as polite and were quick to point out that I do not have TSupport. If anyone has seen this before please help me out. By the way the last key is a newer key since I can't install any of the old SBE ones, incase you were wondering.

You cannot remove all the license keys. BES requires 1 license key be installed.

I'd say add one of the CALS that is correct and then remove the last one that's busted.

Here is the way around this:

**NOTE: Backup the DB before doing this as a safety precaution

1. Make sure to have all your CAL's saved in a tx file, including the last one
2. Open a command prompt
3. Type bcp besmgmt..licensekeys out c:\keys.xtx -c -T, this will take whats in the license keys table into a txt file on your c drive
4. The type osql -E and press Enter
5. At the 1> prompt type use BESMgmt and press Enter
6. Type go at the 2> line and press Enter
7. Type delete from licensekeys at the 1> line ans press Enter
8. Type go at the 2> line and press Enter

That will erase what's in the license keys table enabling you to enter the CALs without issue. Re-open the BlackBerry Manager and you will be prompted to enter a CAL. Enter your SBE's first, then the upgrade key then the Enterprise Keys and you should be good to go.

Hey there, hopefully I can get some help here, I just went to upgrade our BES 4.1.3 (Man am I glad I imaged the server first) anyway I had a license issue to needed to change to Enterprise licenses, anyway I ran the bcp besmgmt script and retrieved I then used osql -E to remove the licenses and all went fine. I then added the new licenses all good so far, I then upgraded to 4.1.4 rgr that so far and then the problem started during the end of the install where I received a DEP error I added BES to the list but after the install went through none of my BB's would connect, so I rolled back the server from the image I had taken previously.

However now when I try to use osql -E and I get the following

C:\>osql -E

Msg 2812, Level 16, State 62, Server SRA, Line 1
Could not find stored procedure 'BESMgmt'.

Now this machine is running the MSDE version of SQL and I've really no idea what to do to check as I've only used SQL Ent Manager

As far as I can see the blackberry's are working fine but really I want to know where I go from here to fix this?

Why don't you just simply close blackberry manager, stop all of the blackberry services, Open the SQL DB and change the keys in the table? Or if you are not comfortable doing that yourself have whoever setup the DB change them for you.
