Default Lost messages during user moves - help please

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, we are in the middle of moving all of our BES users from one set of BES servers to another. We are moving physical locations and decided to upgrade the hardware at the same time. So we stood up new BES servers at our new location and need to get the users to the new servers. After setting up the servers and doing a few test moves we realized that we are losing messages during the moves. Although the moves are pretty quick, it seems to take a couple of seconds before the SQL database gets updated or RIM gets updated. The result is messages that arrive in the Exchange mailbox but never get sent to the device. This would not be a problem if we weren't talking about thousands of users and possibly hundreds of thousands of messages not be sent to their devices. The best thing we can think of is to have people turn off their device while we move them and then turn it back on when we are done...whoever, there still seems to be a short period of time where messages can get through Exchange but not to their device. Can anyone help us eliminate this problem? We need to make sure all the mail gets to their devices sooner or later.

Exclamation

Did you run the handheldcleanup utility on the BES? Worked for us!

You can find it in the Tools directory on your Install CD

To move user mailboxes:
Move them as you normally would, using the Exchange mailbox move wizard
(RIM suggests you run the mailbox cleanup utility on the BES server after
the moving user accounts)
"C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\Blackberry Enterprise
Server\Utility\handheldcleanup -u"

Yes, and that did not fix our problem.
