Ooh, and I've learnt something new already, namely:

"Now, onto something interesting that I wasn't aware of before. You are able to customize the lookup results to a certain extent, by using the 4 "User Defined x" fields present in the "Edit PIM Sync Global Field Mappings" command from the BES Manager. [I didn't think this was an option as I always thought that the Global Field Mappings had to do with Address Book synchronization, I never thought they would impact the lookup results.]"

Hahaha no, I've been reading it for quite a while ... I just figured with his most recent posts he deserved at least a little plug for some very valuable information. Even as an Exchange person every post has value for me.

Gee, thanks fellas!

My latest happy fun project is pushing out non-IT policy controlled device settings by hacking into the backup / restore functionality. Do you have any common config settings you set your BB's up with? If so I can try to hack together a script for them and post it in an upcoming entry as an example.

"Poor Matt."
Priceless.

Wow. Just... wow. Thanks! I've just subscribed via Bloglines, did "Display All Items" and have marked 99% of the posts on the blog to keep.

Does anyone know of any other "must read" Blackberry administration related blogs which I could subscribe to?

Cool

Hiya Mark,

Awesome blog, good work! I will be RSSing it. Love the idea about pushing out non-policy controlled changes wirelessly. If you'd like some settings to script, please do try my defaults as it would be fun to experiment with! (But don't put yourself to any trouble):-

Message Options / General Options / Hide Filed Messages = YES
Message Options / General Options / Keep Messages = 60 Days
Message Options / Email Reconciliation / Delete On = PROMPT
Options / Date/Time / Time Zone = Dublin, London (GMT)
Options / Date/Time / Time Format = 24 hour
Options / Screen/Keyboard / Backlight Timeout = 1 min

Also if you can do this one:

Localisation / Voice Dialling Language = English (United Kingdom)

Plus, this would be awesome <evil grin>

Auto On/Off / Weekend = ENABLED
Auto On/Off / Weekend / Turn On At = 06:00

</evil grin>

Thx again!
