Post MDS Ports incorrect

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I'm preparing (late) to upgrade my BES 4.0.4 server to 4.1.x

I am working through the Upgrade guide and it says that I should standardize connections to the MDS.

Mobile Data Service host port: 3200
Web Server listen port: 8080
Web Server SSL listen port: 8443

Now I can and have set the Listen and SSL ports however I have been thus far unable to set the Host port it is currently 3201, How do I change this to 3200?

Also it appears that one of my team has previously rebuilt the server renaming it in a knife edge cut over, due to a failed patch. this has caused the MDS to retain the previous server name. will this cause issues?

I have tried altering the regkey [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\BlackBerry Mobile Data Service]
ImagePath this has a string specifying the old server name in it's workdir etc.

This most likely will not cause any issues as we are not pushing apps with MDS (that I am aware of) but I would rather fix it first than have a failed upgrade.

It appears that I should be able to simply enter a new server and port number on the MDS Properties/General tab but this is grey'd out. any suggestions?

If you are in a mixed 4.0.x + 4.1.x BESes in a BlackBerry Domain (i.e. sharing the same BESMgmt db), then your BlackBerry Manager 4.1 will not be able to edit 4.0.x MDS properties. Go ahead and upgrade your server to 4.1.x and then you should be able to proceed re-configuring MDS.
