This isn't possible; and you shouldn't hijack someone elses thread.

This is not possible. All data is encrypted by default and there is no way to change it. Why would you want this? It's a huge security breach, security is one of the main features that make RIM successful over it's competitors.

I'm maybe speaking out of turn here, but this is something you'll need to work out for yourself.

Then you need a BB capable of playing the music file. Check the following:

1. Type of BB receiving the file
2. Version of BES
3. Type of file being played

The BB needs to have 4.2 or higher I think if not 4.3

BES should be 4.1 SP2 or SP3, can't remember but you can check in the attachment configuration in BB Server Configuration utility

File should be MP3 or WAV, those are 2 most common file types

ok thanx.....
But I think there is some way through which we can resolve this problem.
I am able to do streaming(TCP/IP) for wav file on WTK and now I am trying for Balck Berry.
Can u explain why we cant remove encryption?

What exactly are you trying to do? Send streaming audio to a BB? Never heard of that being done before but then again I don't usually look into that kind of thing.

Tell us the details of what you are trying to do and we can provide better answers but we can't guarantee that what are doing will work.

Is it just me, or does anyone else noticed that between this thread and the numerous threades by siva.guduru, there seems to be a lot of interest from Indian posters to disable BB security?

Maybe I'm just paranoid.

The main irritation with this thread, from my POV, is how many times the poster has bumped their own thread.

Nobody in this forum ever promised to answer every question... sometimes if there is no answer forthcoming, you just have to find your own/another solution!

If its like creating an application for the BlackBerry where an end user clicks on and it invokes the EDGE data network connection to make a TCP/IP connection to some radio service or Online music streaming service - similar to what XM/Serious have partnered with AT&T Wireless' music offering for BlackBerry's then I guess its possible. I'm no programmer but if you're working on a solution then try searching here & on RIM's public technical site to see if it can point you in the right direction.
