Dear Forum Members,

I´m Lars from Munich in Germany and i develop MDS Software for BlackBerry. I have the following Situation with a Problem while MDS-Activation on BES:

My System Environment:
BES 4.1 on
Windows 2003 Server SR2
without any Groupwaretool like Exchange or something else.
This Environment is only for Developing Software and internal Tests.

Enterprise Activation on my BES from 2 Devices with no Problems. Then installed MDS Runtime and tried to activate on the same BES. But here the Problem:
While MDS activation the activation stopped after 33% with Activation Error. No more Information

Anybody an Idea where i could have made a mistake?

I found 2 Solutions for that Problem:

First one is described by RIM in this document:
BlackBerry Search Results

But that wasn´t my mistake so i searched and tried on and on.

Now i know where my problem was. I had an "_" in my Server name. I deleted it and installed BES again.
Now the MDS aktivation worked on both devices for my test Environment

Hope so i can help someone else where first soulion doesn´t works
