Default Lotus Notes GNAB sync

Does anyone know how I would go about syncing the Global names and address book to a Curve without having to purchase extra software?
I've read that I can copy the GNAB into the personal address book but my boss doesn't want to do it that way. Anyone have another way to go about it?

Thanks in advance.

Why would you want to do this?
The Lookup feature should provide nearly instant access to the entire domino directory without having any of it stored on the device or in the user's personal address book.

I must have something set up incorrectly then. When I go into the address book on my boss's phone, the only thing addresses there are the ones that either she has entered or the ones from her personal address book in notes. Am I doing something wrong? I'm kinda confused.

No, that's correct. The lookup feature can be activated by clicking the trackwheel while in the address book then clicking on Lookup.

There are some free tools to do what you are looking for, search on "Domino ECL Demo", however I suspect that the effort you put into get this working correctly will outweigh any gains in the long run. (My experience)

If this feature is truly required, such as for DR purposes, then the expense of a 3rd party product such as Wallace Wireless could be justified.
