How to prevent a user from sending emails

I would like to forbid a Domino user to send emails with his BB 8820.

I tried BES Properties /PIM Sync / Memos
Synchronization type = Server to device instead of Bidirectional
but it's not working :?

Any ideas ?

BES 4.1.4
Domini 7.0.2

Do not give BES the "Create documents" permission in the ACL of the user's mail file.

I ever tried it :
- the new email is not created in 'sent-mail' box of the user
- but the email is sent anyway

Yeah, i realized that after I posted. You really can't stop a user from senting messages.

I am kind of curious as to why you would want to do this. Doesn't this kind of defeat the purpose of the BlackBerry, given it is an email driven device?

The BB is for a group of person, to be warn about some events.
My security departement is afraid of people sending messages to all the company but they don't know exactly who did it.

You would have to "break" the BB. You can try deleting the Desktop [MIME] service book. This will definitely stop the BB from sending but not sure about receiving.

Remove the Inbox from Folder Reconciliation for that user on the BES.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:29 PM.
