Default Upgrading domino BES 4.0 -> quickstart 4.1

Please Login to Remove!

I curently have 11 users on the 4.0 BES. Sql is on the same hardware.

I want to upgrade to 4.1, so I d/l'd quickstart 4.1 10 user, and purchased a 5 pack sbe cal's.

I am just looking for the best way to do the upgrade. Do I wipe everything out and start from scratch i.e. new dbase. Or can I reuse the existing dbase?

I know I'll need to reactivate every device. What else am I forgetting?

Thanks in advance.

The upgrade is an in-place upgrade. Look through the pre-requisites, run the setup and answer the questions. It should update your program files and database.

AFAIK the SRP key is different between edition. You will need a new SRP if you are jumping between edition.

Example: BlackBerry Profession Software -> BlackBerry Enterprise Server

The quickstart 4.1 that I downloaded came with a new srp auth key.

I am going from BES -> Quickstart edition.
