On the preinstallation checklist of domino it says that you require "Run unrestricted methods and operations" this is the highest permission when it comes to domino wht do we need such a high privilage. What does the server do with these permissions when it comes to blackberry.

What is the limitation if we give a lesser privalage namely Run simple methods and operations.

Erm, the limitation is that BES might not work properly. If you configure BES with permissions different to what RIM suggest, then you are running an unsupported config.

If you paraphrase exactly what you have seen, I might be able to provide more information. Oddly, I've never used the pre installation check-list (as my last pure install was a 2.x BES, since then it's been a case of upgrade upgrade etc.)

The requirement for "Run unrestricted methods and operations" enabling is for the BES to ran the Out-Of-Office agents on user's mail boxes when the users enable it from their BlackBerry devices.
