Default BES outlook not showing up

Please Login to Remove!

We have a BES and running on Domino (Lotus notes) but using Outlook for email. If I open my email in my BB I don't see it on my outlook until I mark my BB email to show it was unread. How do I get this to work without doing the unread procedure.

Can you explain this a little better?
How does Outlook communicate with your Domino server? I assume you're just using Outlook as a POP3 or IMAP client?

What I think is happening is that you're using Outlook as a POP3 client.
Since the BlackBerry marks your email as read... Outlook doesn't download it via POP3 because it'll only download unread messages.

I don't know if there's anything different you can do to remedy that.

Sorry, I'm new to this BB admin. I was just handed the responsibility. Yes you have it right. So, would changing to exchange solve this problem.

Whoa... that's a pretty drastic change.
Not only would you be switching you're entire messaging platform but you'd also need to get a new BES and re-activate every one of your BlackBerry devices.

Yes, it'll likely solve your problem... but you're talking about a tremendous amount of work and a hefty cost here.

Why not just Lotus Notes instead of Outlook? That seems to be the most logical choice for a desktop client, since you're using a Domino server.
