Default BES Setup - internet & lcs office communicator

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, im installing BES for the first time and i understand the type of setup can only be done once.

I require normal BES services, internet browsing (mds-cs) and using lcs/office communicator. Which setting would apply, BES with MDS Services & LCS IM connector?

The IM CWA server that we will be connecting to is in the US domain while we are in the UK. The previous installation was set so the office communicator settings were available but the IM connector settings were greyed out.
Looking in the configuration panel - collaboration service tab of the previous installation, is it here that if i choose LCS in the instant messaging connector option that both of these options are available and which one should i be choosing?

hope all that is clear

Default

You will not need mds services. that is mdss and not mds-cs. I would just seleted BES with LCS (office communicator). with this install you will need to also install msmq for the "Common" componet only tho.
