Default Wipe handheld before or during BES activation?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to wipe a handheld's existing data and 3rd party applications as part of the BES activation? I know it's possible via the handheld manually beforehand but I want to be able to do it remotely for sure via BES. Also, I know about the Erase Data and Disable Handheld command. However, I'm not interested in disabling the device. We're using BB 8830 if that's pertinent.
thanks.

Don't let this wording scare you.
The device doesn't actually become "disabled" as a result of the Erase & Disable command.
It merely wipes the handheld, just as if you initiated the wipe manually on the device.
The 'disable' in this case simply means that the device will no longer be activated on the BES, and will require a new activation.
There's no harm in doing an 'Erase & Disable Handheld' from the BES.

Thanks for the clarification on Erase & Disable. That's at least one option available.
