Default BES service activation error for Device 8800

Dear all,

We are having BES service in place & so far there were no issue for activating any users till date.I have come across a strange issue of activation.
I have to switch the device from 8700 to 8800 , tried following.

1. Switch the device from blackberry desktop manager. it did work for me but after activation gets finish successfully. I tried opening any attachments i am getting this error ..More request cannot be completed .Service book information not found.
so didn't able to reply the msg also . it ive option to save as draft .

2. I deleted the user from BES Server & tried to reactivate it again.it register half way through n gets an error ... Old OTAKEYGEN packet is cancelled, Tag=1374427


3. Tried delete/undelete service book ... didn't work.

Pls help me to resolve the issue..

The Desktop[CMIME] service book was either corrupt or not there. Wipe the BB and do the activation again. If you're still getting the error then look at the message you are trying to send/open. If the Using/Received feild says Unknown then the Desktop[CMIME] is corrupt and you may need to remove/readd the user from the BES.

please do not post the same thread in multiple forums. the BES admin corner is the best forum for this information, and i have deleted the other 3 threads

Is this BB getting any data(mails, calednar)) wireless?

Are you able to send a PIN to/from this device? = Is the bb option ok on contract?

Is the user you are trying to activate forwarding their email to another user's account (who also has a BB?) If so turn off that forwarding and try to EA again.

you could also delete all service books (minus the provisioning one) then resend service books from the BES

Dear gibson_hg Thanks a lot for your response . I though the same that Service book is corrupt so i did delete n undelete the service book sync . even i tried resending the service book from BES but no use ...do you have any idea how do i recover /restore the service book manualy.

Dear , Scr_ooge ,

thanks for your response . after the activation sending msg to pins . receiving mails , sending news mails are working fine but in case if i reply or open an attachments .I receive
the error msg that More request cannot be completed .Service book information not found.

I deleted all the service book i resend service book from BES but no use ..
