But i just activated on a BES, and i have a backup, but cannot restore my BBM database. I know ive done it before and its driving me nuts. Any help?

I know very little of BES

but it is always something simple that stumps ya

even disabled wireless sync, still no dice

created a new IT policy for just my device and it worked. made sure i disabled ALL wireless sync and wireless backup, restored the info. then switched IT policies back and it went fine.

I was going to ask if it was the PIM databases to restore. You can usually delete the Desktop [SYNC] Service Book, restore the data and then undelete the Service Book.

In any case, nevermind then.

I don't remember if my BBM contacts have ever restored....but I've never really looked. I usually just do an Advanced restore from the backup.

Advanced restore databases would not be available

yep but the phone wouldnt allow the advanced restore. it would grey out everything that was actually linked to the BES.
