This is how I was able to fix the issue in my case... (enterprise activation was not completed)
I referenced this article:
"DOC ID: KB14030" on blackberry.com/btsc
"Unable to synchronize the Address Book wirelessly during the enterprise activation process"
I noted that the enterprise activiation of my device actually had like 90% for the address book portion.
How did I see this?
Settings > Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation
To fix this problem:
Settings > Options > Advanced Options > Service Book
Select the Desktop [Sync] Service book from the menu, and select "Delete"
From the menu, select "Undelete" to restore the "Desktop [Sync]" service book
Settings > Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation
From the menu, select "Activate" to re-try the wireless synchronization process
Wait a while for the activation to complete ...
...
...
...
After a while you will get a message that it completed...
Then, check your settings for synchronization of your address book
Address Book > Menu > Options
You will see that "Wireless Synchronization" has a "yes" value again (as it had disappeared earlier, if you have the same exact problem as me)
Also, if you log on to the Blackberry Manager application, you will see this in the properties for the user in the
PIM SYNC settings:
Address Book
Wireless synchronization set to "true"
Have a nice day!
Note: I am the same "technotes" who posted this at the wireless att forums
Note2: When I say "Blackberry Manager" I am referring to the server application for managing all Blackberry users, not the desktop application by similar name. Sorry for any confusion this may cause.
