Default Upgrade to Exchange 2003

I am migrating my Exchange 2000 Server, which is on a Windows 2000 Server, to a new installation on new hardware box of Exchange 2003 on Windows 2003 Server. What do I need to do to my BES? I am fully up-to-date on it, patch-wise.

I migrated from 5.5 to 2003 with no BES problems...BUT...I joined the new 2003 server to the existing 5.5 organization/site. I would think you'd need to join the 2003 server to the 2000 organization, so it's just another server in the Exchange org. Doing this will allow BES to "know" about the new server. Then, when you move a mailbox to the 2003 server, BES will find it...

Also make sure that permissions are correct and that the MAPI profile on the BES sees the new Exchange server after you move the BESAdmin mailbox.

Here is RIMs article on doing this:

Hope that helps.
