Default Generate Activation Password Not Sent

Hi,

I'm trying to use the "Generate Activation Password" feature, but so far in my testing no emails are showing up in the users Inbox.

Do I need to configure SMTP settings somewhere? Does the email get sent from BES through the Blackberry.com servers (port 3101)...so I don't need to configure SMTP?

I've added my account to BES, but I don't actually own a Blackberry. If it goes through Blackberry's systems....will it not get sent to me if I don't actually own a Blackberry device?

It gets send to a user's outlook not bb. Sorry if I misunderstood.

OK...so do I need to configure an SMTP server in the BES Manager or BES Server Configuration to allow emails to go out?
