Default BES E-mail Issue

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Our Domino server restarted due to maintenance on Sat morning. Afterwards, a few of our users notified me that they did not receive any new e-mails since then. I ended up doing a wipe of the phone, recreating their BES account and reactivating the Enterprise Activation. Is there a more efficient way to perform this action? I tried disabling activation and re-enabling it for some users, which seemed to bring it new e-mails, though did not sync those e-mails that came in the previous few days.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

Whoa... you certainly took the drastic approach right off the bat.

There's literally dozens of troubleshooting steps you could have done before the action you ended up taking.
It's situational, so it doesn't make sense to go into them now.

If it ever happens again, just post back here before doing anything and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out.

Well, the user was just activated on Friday, and the situation happened Sat so doing a wipe of the handheld was not a big deal because there was no data associated with the device. Could you run through some troubleshooting tips I could utilize? We do have a user that is currently up and running, after not being able to receive messages on Sat, though, the messages from Sat to Tuesday have not been synced yet.

Thanks.

I would start with BBF Search, Main Page - BlackBerryFAQ, and RIMs Knowledge Base.

Search for terms of problems you're having ... and if you don't find anything or are looking for details about a specific problem you can identify; post it here and it'll get addressed. There are no big "fix it guides".
