BES delegation: Generate and Email Activation Password?

We have delegated the account creation on our BES server (v. 4.1.4.12). We are not using a shared account for the account creaters, they are using their own accounts. Our issue is that the activation password message is coming from them instead of a generic BES address.

Is there a way (other than using a shared account) to accomplish this?

example: Joe creates an account for Tom and generates and Emails the activaion password. The message comes from [email address]. We would like the message to come from [email address].

Any assistance is appreciated

Thanks,

Adam Smith

What email platform are you on?

I don't think you can do it.

I believe the issue is the user likely doesn't have Send As permission.

Why do you think it is an issue? It might be by design?

For Exchange you would need to give each of the users, or the group they are part of, mailbox rights on the service account mailbox. That way they can setup the Mapi Profile and that profile can Send As that account.
