Default Policy For Email Filtering

Please Login to Remove!

I searched around and was unable to find anything about this, but I do apologize if I missed it.

I'm trying to figure out how make a policy that will filter specific messages up to Level 1. And also, how to force profile settings for level 1 messages.

Basically, we have specific messages that we want to make sure make the ringer go off, no questions asked. I figure if I make them level 1 and set the level 1 ringer that should do the trick, unless there's a better way?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can't do what you want to do.
You can set a global filter to make certain messages level 1 and force that on your users... however you cannot force profile settings.

The user will always be able to set their own alert types for specific messages directly on the device.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that might be the case. I just figured out the forwarding portion... sorry I'm a bit new to this!

I figured no need to start a new thread for this. I implemented my filter, the group that gets the filters is growing daily so I push out the filter every 24 hours or so. But some users are complaining that when I do that it deletes their personal filters. I know that the BES filters take priority over the device filters, but if the filters don't clash at all where are they going?
