Default Calendar Sync issue (ent 4.1)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Iím currently experiencing a few issues with Calendar syncing. If an appointment is put in Outlook it happily shows up on the Blackberry device, but if an appointment is placed in the Blackberry device it isnít shown in Outlook.

I realise there are numerous posts regarding this issue, and issues like it, but trust me Iíve been through them and nothing seems to work.

Iím running the Blackberry Enterprise Server (4.1.4 MR5 159) and Exchange Server 2003 (SP2) on the same server (not ideal I know, but it comes down to cost!). These services are hosted on A Windows 2003 SP2 box with current updates.

A snippet from the event viewer shows the following:
Event ID: 20216 - {user@userswork.com} Synchronize() failed: ERR_FAIL, Tag=97796

The Enterprise Server MAGT log displays the following errors:
[40000] (04/14 12:47:58.661):{0x39C0} CDO initializing failure in CDO helper 04877008 (5)
[30001] (04/14 12:47:58.770):{0x39C0} CDOCalendar::Initialize - Code = 80040704, WCode = 0504, Code meaning = IDispatch error #1284,
[30002] (04/14 12:47:58.770):{0x39C0} Server = server-1, Mailbox = /o=work/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=user Description = Your profile is not configured. [Microsoft Exchange Server Information Store - [MAPI_E_UNCONFIGURED(8004011C)]]
[30180] (04/14 12:47:58.770):{0x39C0} {user} CDOCalendar::Initialize - Error in call m_spCalendarFolder = m_spCDOSession->GetDefaultFolder
[40000] (04/14 12:47:58.770):{0x39C0} CDO initializing failure in CDO helper 04877008 (5)
[40580] (04/14 12:47:59.645):{0x39C0} CDO helper 04877008 closing after CDO initialize failure

Although the Enterprise Server & Exchange are on the same box Iíve even resorted to re-registering the cdo.dll (C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin\cdo.dl) just in case!

All permissions seem to be correct (BESAdmin send as, receive as, administer information store, Admin view rights etc.).

The strange thing is that all was working perfectly well just a week ago. There have been no alterations, no updates, nothing!

Iíd appreciate any help, any suggestions, anything!

Thanks for your time.

Thanks for the reply.

Tried this several times & also a few server restarts for good measure.

Just a quick update - after the re-reg of the cdo.dll I'm now seeing the following in the MAGT logs:

[40000] (04/14 15:53:22.977):{0x39C0} CalHelper failed 04877008, ErrorCode = -11, Thread activity was Checking CDO object list

[40577] (04/14 15:53:23.414):{0x39C0} CDO helper 04877008 stopped

Any ideas?

FIXED!

Not any obvious issues at all - it ended up being a stray DS SERVER key in the reg.

See Dgoldman's WebLog : The DS Server registry key and rebuilding an Offline Address List

This all related to offline address books not being read etc. and calendars not syncing to BES. - GREAT!!!
