Smile Step-by-step for upgrading BES 4.1.3 to 4.1.5 on Domino server 7.x - 04-22-2008, 03:40 PM

Hello everyone,

Did anyone upgrade BES 4.1.3 to 4.1.5 on your Domino 7.x yet? If so, can you share with me the proper steps need to be taken to complete the upgrade successfully?

Thank you!

Default Just did mine last night... - 04-22-2008, 11:56 PM

I upgraded our small test server from 4.1.4 to 4.1.5 running on Domino 7.0.2

Here's what I did...

1. Backed up the BES Logs
2. Backed up the BesMgmt database
3. Ran the upgrade installation accepting the defaults along the way...

Was up and running in about 30 mins...

A couple things I didn't do but should have:

Backup the BES NSFs
Stop the Domino service from automatically starting (the upgrade requires a reboot in the middle)

Hope that helps

How many servers are you using in your test environment for Domino?

Pearl 4.2.1.101 - Telstra Australia
BES 4.1.5 Domino 7.0.3.1 (with issues)

Any other problems or quirky things that happened/happening?
Undocumented "features?"
