Question Cut and paste messages....!! - 04-30-2008, 12:20 PM

Hi all,

This is how I understood. If you want the old email to show up on your blackberry, you can either send it to youself or do a cut and paste operation.
Here is my dilemma. I want the message from Nov. 2007 to appear my blackberry. What I did was to go into a folder where the message was and cut and paste into Inbox so that it shows up as a new message but it's not showing up on my device. I thought there was no limit as to how old the message is as long as you cut and paste so it's becomes a new message.

Any ideas, Thanx a bunch..!!

if i understand you correctly, simply cutting and pasting a message from one folder to another in outlook does not mark it as a new message and therefore does not queue it to be sent to the bb. the only way to do this is to forward it to yourself as a new message, this way when its received, the bes picks it up and queues it to be delivered to the device.

Two months ago, I saw a provocative movie on cable TV. It was called The Net, with that girl from the bus.

Thanx for the quick reply....I just talked to RIM and they said cutting and pasting email messages within Lotus Notes to force the messaging agent to rescan and deliver the message is not supported.

Oh well, but I got it work by cuting and pasting any messages as far back as March of this year but not beyond that....
