Server has the besmgmt database on it. Is there anything that needs to be done special for this database? The MS SQL upgrade advisor gives these FYIs:
Remove references to undocumented system tables
Source Type: Database
Database: besmgmt
Object Name: spaceused
Object Type: P
System Table: spt_values

Source Type: Database
Database: mdss
Object Name: RIM_GetLogin
Object Type: P
System Table: spt_values

backup the databases first.

Personally I prefer to uninstall 2000 and then attach the databases in 2005 after creating the requisite accounts ... but whatever you're more comfortable with will work.
