Exclamation Blackberry Maintenance Notifications

The blackberry services were down for 4 hours on May 3rd, 2AM to 6 AM CST for the US region.

Apparently, RIM was doing a scheduled maintenance which I only got to know from the IVR when I called Tech Support.

Well, after waiting for an hour for assistance I was told that RIM only informs customers who have TX5 support(we have TX2) as they have signed a Non-disclosure agreement. Does anybody know what's the deal with NDA and notifications?

^^true. The deal is just that, however i believe the notifictions might come with TX4 and 5 levels.
