All BB web traffic going through corporate network - how do I stop this?

Currently, all BB web traffic is going through our corporate network, it doesn't matter if I use Blackberry Browser or Internet Browser, it still gives me an IP from our internal provider rather than Verizon. How can I fix this? This used to work properly.
Curious that many of the new devices - depending on provider don't have the "Blackberry Browser" anymore, just "Browser"? This is what I've seen with many of our AT&T users on BES 4.1.4; however we do use MDS so the Admins most likely have that enforcement that you speak of. Thanks.

I have not specified any IT policies but I am not sure if they have specified any. I know when I try changing to MDS it seems to limit file download size if I am downloading ringtones while setting up my new device. It sure seems fast this way though!
