Default Monitoring how much data a handheld uses

Please Login to Remove!

Does anybody know a way to monitor how many K of data a user sends and receives in a week? I have a user who is going over to Italy and is wondering if he should leave his data on and pay the roaming. He gets a lot of e-mails in a day, and I am afraid that if he leaves it on, it will cost a ton. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...
Mark

You could check the email sizes he/she received to his/her outlook inbox as well as the sent box and get an estimation from that. Not sure you could do the same thing on the BB. I would just check Outlook for amount of data in a day and then project the week. Of course you'd then have to check with the wireless provider to get an idea of what that comes out to be in dollars and cents.

There is an upcoming solution to monitor BlackBerry traffic for the BES Admin on server side and for user at the BlackBerry handheld within the next 6 weeks. I will inform here in the forum if the public BETA is available. The solution is ready, we just test the functionality for different plattforms. You can apply as a BETA participiant to [email address].
