Question Quick question...

Please Login to Remove!

Hey ...
When I send an email from my GroupWise account on my PC, I get a copy of the sent email in my main email screen on my BB device.
Is there a way to filter these out so that they are sent to my sent folder on my BB device and not to my mail screen? or just filter them out so I do not see them any more ..

Messages > Options > General Options > Hide Sent Messages = Yes

Or you can turn off folder redirection for the Sent folder.

Hey ...

Do you mean > 'Hide Filed Messages' ??

I do not have a 'Hide Sent Messages' option ... in the location you are describing.

I am on a 7250 BB

I just tested the 'Hide Filed Messages' and it does not work ... still getting a copy of my sent emails from my desktop ...

No, I didn't mean Hide Filed Messages... I meant Hide Sent Messages.
You should have that option.

Try having your BES admin resend service books to your device.

Hey,

Ok ... I am the BSE admin (tho this is a test BSE Server) & I have not had any BSE training ... so please let me know what I have to do ....(step-by-step) is always good ....
I got on to the BSE server and selected 'my id' then selected 'IT Admin' then did a 'Re-send Service Book' ... system said it was 'queued' .... but after 10mins my options under 'General Options' is still the same.
Any suggestions ??

Odd. Try a blank IT policy for yourself.

I know the 7750s do not have the option to "Hide Sent Messages" but the 7250's do. Keep in mind this is with the last OS releases. We have both in use so I know first hand.

Interesting enough ... I do not have a IT Policy assigned to my device, where everyone else does ...
Mine says: Pending
Everyone else's says: Applied successfully

Is there a way to blow the device away and reset it like new ??
If so what are the steps to doing this ..

yea, right click on the user in the BES and select "erase data and disable handheld" That should send a command to the Blackberry to erase all data on it and start new. You can then re-activate it.

I actually did that .... but nothing seemed to happen ...
I then decided to delete the BSE account and do a wipe of the device to see if that would fix the issue (options/security/wipe device)... you know, a start from scratch direction.
I am in the middle of doing that right now ....
will let you all know how that turns out..

Ok ...

Problem is still not fixed yet ...

But this is what I did ..
Like I described above. I killed my BSE account and then wiped the BB device (Model 7250)

I recreated my BSE account
and re-activated the BB device.

No change ... I still do not see a 'Hide Sent Messages' option in the General Options selection for mail....

Are you sure that a Model 7250 supports this option ??

We have all types of BB devices here (not as old as this 1 tho ..) and they
all support this option ..
