Help,

I've called Blackberry Support on this issue probably 5 times now and whenever we think it's fixed it just breaks again.

We have a Small Business Server 2003 R2 with Exchange and the BES server all on the same box. I've gone over the permissions with BES support numerous times, even to the point of creating all new installation accounts. I've updated to the latest build of BES for Exchange.

The owner of this company has two delegates, which I mention because I don't know if it's causing the problem or not. Basically they read his email for him because he gets hundereds of emails per day and doesn't have time. When he reads a message in his Outlook, it does eventually reflect as read on his blackberry. But what I think is happening is when a Delegate reads a message for him maybe it doesn't get updated? I'm not there today so I haven't been able to test this theory yet, but right now he has 60 unreads in his inbox, and his handheld is telling him there are over 200 unread's, which he doesn't have time to decipher which he's read and which he hasn't.

Are there known issues with delegates? Any other known causes of this not working? Anything I can check?

Tend to agree. My understanding is that the BES polls two areas, Inbox and Deleted Items of the user, not the delegates. Ensure that any changes in status to the mails(either being deleted or read/unread etc) is reflected in the users own mailbox. Also, give the BES time to poll the mailbox and update the Blackberry.
