I am experiencing the infamous calendar one way sync (BB to Outlook fails) error. The error is the MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER(8004011D) error. I have double checked the permissions on the BESAdmin account and they appear to be right. I am using the CDO/MAPI 1.2.1 on the BES server and everything else is working properly. I noticed that in the MAPI_E_FAILONEPROVIDER(8004011D) error that it list the following address /o=Company/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPKKR)/cn=Recipients/cn=jallred but when I use ADSI Edit and try and find the Recipients container it does not exist. I am hosting multiple customers on my Exchange server so there are special permissions on the different Address Lists that are created. But, BESAdmin appears to have rights to all of these including the Default Global Address List so that may not be an issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried creating a new BESAdmin account? The account itself could be the issue.

I have not created a new account but I do have a second and separate BlackBerry server installed for our hosted customers that is hooked to the same Exchange server and it is exhibiting the same problems and it uses a separate BES service account. In other words one Exchange environment but two separate and distinct BES servers interacting but both having the same calendar sync issue.

Any update on your problem jallred. I am having the same issue. Just installed a new Exchange 07 environment a week ago. Have tried everything I have been able to find on the web including switching to a new account. Have not tried to reinstall completely.

Unfortunately, no. I also did some further testing and the one way calendar sync issue is affecting both of my BES servers unlike I previously posted. I have tried rapplying permissions, checking permissions via ADSIEdit, adding the BESAdmin account to the Exchange Public Folder Administrators group, and standing on my head and turning flips. Nothing has worked so far. I continue to receive event id 20216 with the description of {jallred@bizcomweb.com} Synchronize() failed: ERR_FAIL, Tag=3679 in the event log and the error I listed in my first post.

im having the exact same issue... let me know if there is any setting you want me to check on my side as a comparison.

I have opened a call with RIM and will post what the final solution is.

Out fix for being unable to set the MAPI profile for the BESAdmin account from the Blackberry Server Configuration tool despite following the BB guide KB04293 "How to switch BlackBerry Enterprise Server service accounts" was to then run BESProfile.exe to create/edit the MAPI profiles one of those had no entry.
