Default BES upgrade issues

Please Login to Remove!

pain has been endured by myself and others. I wanted to share with the community so that you too are aware.

our upgrade went as follows. multiple BES servers in the environment. bring down all BES. Upgrade one so the schema is updated. then a week apart upgrade the rest. I do believe this is a supported upgrade model by RIM.

so here is what we found......

all of a sudden users complained that they couldn't take a picture and then send as an emal. you could get as far as composing the message with the attachment but the send option was missing from the menu.
for some they were able to compose a message then attach the pic. but this wasn't the case for everyone.

so schema is and other servers are

bottom line. users on the server had no issue. people on the 4.14.15 server had issues.

resolution: upgrade all servers or move effected user to server.

Hope this may help others and save some headaches..........

nice, I hate those camera phones so it might be fun to mess with them for a couple of weeks by spreading the upgrades out. I normally upgrade all servers in a BES domain at the same time but this gives me some great ideas.
