Default How to finalize my Blackberry professional software installation?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have installed the Blackberry professionnal software 4.1.4.3 on one of our Exchange server.

This BES will have to feed the users of 2 AD domains (BEL and FRA) and 2 Exchange servers.

The installation happened on Windows server 2000 SP4 with Exchange 2000, the server for the FRA domain.

I have followed successfully all the instructions and the install did not return me any error.

I could add the first user which is a user of the BEL domain. I could activate the device via USB on the server self and it synchronizes through the desktop manager installed on my computer.

But I cannot get any access to the wireless functionalities as I get in the logs the following message :

<N/A> | BlackBerry Dispatcher DCPAR2 (Application Event Log on DCPAR2) | 06/05/2008 11:31:19 (AFFF4FAF) -> [BIPPe] Authentication failed for S30633137:C3,IPPP: Authentication Failed (1)

It seems that the Blackberry dispatcher is the service that encrypt the messages that need to be sent to the RIM servers.

I have also found some information telling about some problems known on BES. I tried to use the described solutions : I inserted the "missing keys" in the registry but when I restarted the server, I got the same authentication failed message for all the Blackberries services.

Now I restored everything back in the registry but cannot find any other information.

Does anybody know this problem?

Thank you

I have found another document on the blackberry knowledge base that helped me.

The first one told how to create registry keys for missing passwords and did not resolve the issue.

The second one explained how to delete registry keys containing these passwords and how to regenerate the passwords with the blackberry server configuration tool.

This resolved my issue.
