Default Upgrading to 4.1.5

Please Login to Remove!

here is some background.

Right now I have an existing BES 4.1.4.15 server on vm running in my exchange enviroment.

What I want to do is a Fresh install of 4.1.5 on a new VM as the old one has issues so I do not want to upgrade the existing BES.

Here is my question. If I name everything on the New BES 4.1.5 server identical to the existing server can I pull all the users off the old bes to the new one. Using the new DB and everything without having to reactivate devices or have to have the users do anything to sync to the new bes?

Whoa... Why are you using a new DB?
You should be doing a knife-edge cutover, and you'll save yourself a TON of reconfiguation.
Keep the same DB, so you don't need to reactivate all of your users.

Search Livelink - Redirection for instructions on how to do the knife-edge cutover.

I was thinking that could be a possiblity , but wasnt sure if when i used the old db with the updated software if there would be conflicts or would it just upgrade the db when i am doing the install and point it to the new db?
