Ok I have a new problem I created. I am trying to run the following command with a new password for my admin account. The old password used to be a short 8 alpha/numeric value but now that I have changed it to a longer more complex/strong pwd, my following command will not run. I get an error invalid hostname or invalid password. Is it the special characters in the password??? Of course the password is an example of how complex it is now

BESUserAdminClient.exe" -u Userid -b ServerBB -n 11.11.111.999 -p X!i**EsG3325*q -add -v -w xxxx -it_policy "Company Policy XYZ"

Try surrounding your password in double quotes i.e.:

-p "%Myfr3aky&funkyPwd"

no luck I tried it with Quotes without any success. It states invalid host or password. I know our host has not change.

change the password to something less complex (like the previous password) and see if it works.

Try removing 1 special character at a time to figure out which is functioning as a control character and then failing.

I have passwords with control characters and they work fine, but none as complex as yours.
