Question CDOCalendar Error Messages

Please Login to Remove!

I am in the process of migrating my BES users to a new server. I have moved the database to the new server and am gradually moving over the users. I am getting some error messages for the people that I have moved over:

CDOCalendar::GetCDOAppointment - Exception handled
CDOCalendar::Initialize - Exception handled
CDOCalendar::GetNewAppointment - Exception handled
CDOCalendar::GetRIMMeetingResp - Exception handled

Can someone please tell me what the problem is and how to fix it?

thanks -- dee

My first thought is that you are running a different exchange service pack on your BES server. I've also seen where the cdo.dll isn't working but reinstalling the exchange service pack solves the issue.

I installed SP2, but the cdo.dll version is different from the one on my exchange server. Is it just a simple matter of copying from exchange and overwriting on the BES? Will it disrupt users?

When it comes to cdo.dll you can copy it from Exchange to the BES. This only needs to be done if the BES version is lower than Exchage. Here is the process to follow:

1. Unregister all versions of cdo.dll on the BES - Just open a command prompt and navigate to the directory with cdo.dll. Run regsvr32 cdo.dl -u to unregister

2. Once all are unregistered, delete them

3. Copy the cdo.dll from Exchange to BES in the system32 folder and register it. Same as above but use regsvr32 cdo.dll to register it

4. Restart the Dispatcher Service

Are people experiencing Calendar issues? You said that you moved the database, so why are you moving users? If you moved the database then the users moved with it. What exactly have you done so far?
