Blackberry Enterprise server technical question

Can BES be used in a multi domain environment?

I provide hosted exchange services, so I have many domains with exchange, with 5 - 10 mailbox's per.

These domains are spread out in multiple subnets all connected via VPN tunnels.

Could I get one server, bus BES on it, and have it provide services to users in all the domains? Or would I need a seperate server for each domain?

First off, you cannot offer hosted BES solutions without being a BlackBerry Alliance partner. They will go after you for this when they find out.

For the rest of the questions I will defer to the more knowledgeable people on the boards, and move this to the BES admin corner

This can work if the Exchange Servers are part of the same Exchange Org. If that's the case the BESAdmin account needs to have the proper trusts configured to all domains.

If there are separate Exchange Orgs, then the BES can only see Exchange Servers in that org only. It's a database thing more or less.

As has been said, as long as they're part of the same Exchange Organization you can have a single BES.

If you're doing something like HMC, make sure you're an Alliance Partner, read through the HMC docs, and then give the Administration Guide a review ... it talks about hosted and / or multi domain support.

The key is, all Exchange servers that talk to a given BES need to be a part of the same Exchange Organzation.
