Default BES Capability Question

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,
I'm new to the site and fairly new to BES. Currently I'm running BES version 3.6.7.12 (sbs I think) and have had requests for wirelessly synching users calendars. Does anyone know if this version of BES is capable of performing the requested action? If this isn't enough to go on please ask any additional questions. Thanks!

What type of email server and version?

I do know 4.1.x does.
I never tried 3.x

BES 3.6 can wirelessly sync your Exchange email and calendar... but nothing else.

Quite honestly... you need to upgrade your BES to 4.1
BES 3.6 died a gracious death a long time ago. BES 4.0 isn't even supported anymore.

Welcome to BBF ...

Here's some info on upgrading:

KB10354 - How to perform a phased upgrade of BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 3.6 to 4.1
KB14399 - How to upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1 and relocate the installation to new hardware with a remote Microsoft SQL Server

Try searching here and at BlackBerry Technical Solution Center ... any specific questions; ask em.

Also ... its time to upgrade to Exchange 2003 SP2 ... or better yet; Exchange 2007, but that's a whole different ball of wax.
