Default BES role question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am a new BES admin, something confuse me. Earlier I have Sr. Helpdesk admin role so i can mange account and do user-related operation, but i cant manage device locally, so i acquired Device Administer role, it turned out i lost user/account operation permission.

i checked admin guide, Device Administer role should have permission of all tasks that relate to user accounts.

What issue i might encounter? is there anything wrong with the role other admin grant me?

also, can someone give me clear explain of what are following actions difference, i couldn't find answer in admin guide & in the forum.

1.Load Handheld
2.Load Handheld (Interactive)
3.Wipe Handheld File System
4.Nuke Handheld

Thanks,

Jack

1. If you have software configuration setup it will let you load that software/OS using wire to a handheld with no question asked.
2. This one is simular to 1. only you'll be prompted what do you want loaded to a handheld, the same as if you were using Desktop manager to install software.
3. Erases all user related data from handheld except IT policy items.
4. Nuke handheld is the same as format drive/delete partition in windows world.

You will need as an admin, ether Security Admin or Enerprise Admin....Jr and Senior will not allow a true admin to do their job....
