Cool Security Policy: TimeOut Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

we set up a security policy on our BES.
Also we require, that users have to enter a security password.
We changed the usual timeout to 1 hour.

So far so good, but 2 of our users have the problem, that the security timeout is not 1 hour, but +- 10 min.

Which option did I forgot to set?

Thanks in advance
Ronny

Wirelessly posted (Breaking Ball)

The users can set the timeout to anything they want, as long as it it less than the maximum time you set... Which is one hour.

Check the device itself and see what's set as the timeout.

If you allow the user to change the timeout (which seems likely) then they should be able to bump the time up to one hour.

Try re-pushing the IT Policy to the device and make sure it's Applied Successfully.
You might also consider checking his handheld OS version, and maybe updating to the latest version if it's not current.
