Default BES TCP/IP Port

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BES server comunicating with Exchange 2003SP2 trough a firewall. each time I have to reboot or update the Windows on BES Server I recive the msg in event viewer:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: BlackBerry Router
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10000
Date: 19/6/2008
Time: 13:37:20
User: N/A
Computer: Server
Description:
[SERVICE_RELAY_SESSION:XXXXXXXXX:12345678] Service transaction not found. SERVICESESSION_TAG=16732984

Then I need to start a troubleshooting in my firewall to see wich port they are comunicating.

How can I use a especific port insted of dynamic one?

Tks a lot!

BES and Exchange server shouldn't be separated by a firewall.
Ideally, they should be on the same LAN, behind your firewall.
Is there any particular reason you have it set up the way you do?

BES uses MAPI / RPC; which by default uses dynamic port ranges.

Give these a review:

Exchange Server static port mappings
and
How to configure RPC dynamic port allocation to work with firewalls

It was probably put in the DMZ because it accesses the Internet and many corporate policies state that anything that accesses the Internet must be in the DMZ.
