I am trying to install the BES manager on my laptop, win xp prof SP2. But in the BES installation, I don't see the Blackberry manager component to install. This is a BES for Domino.
I have the MS XML SDK and Parser installed [V4.2].
How do i fix this problem?

Do you have the Lotus Notes client installed?

Have just come up against exactly this issue, here is the solution, well for BES 4.1.4 for Domino anyway.

Make sure you have the Notes Client installed, doesn't have to be configured, just there.

Here's the real gotcha, the client has to be v7 or less. On a PC with a v8 client the option for BES Manager is not there.

Actually you can fake it out - I'm running v8.0.1 with BES Manager. The key is that v8 changes the default install path from c:\program files\lotus to c:\program files\ibm\lotus. If you make sure the new path is in your PATH environment variable the BES manager install works.

Doesn't seem to want to work for us. We have been a Notes shop since v4 and so for consistency all Notes installs are actually in C:\Lotus\Notes. Just tried c:\Lotus and c:\Lotus\Notes in the Path variable manager but no luck with the Manager install.

Oh well, back to VNCing onto the server for my colleague. Manager installed OK on mine as I had v7 at the time.
