Hi, our Win2k/Exch2k server went down, it only had our BESadmin mailbox. We have a 2 or 3 year old BES 4.0 Win2k server and our primary Exchange server is Win2k3/Exch2k3.

Can I recreate the BESadmin mailbox on the Exch2k3 box and be back up and running or?

if I have the AD user still, we just lost the server with the BESadmin mailbox, we have another server running the BES software, think I can just create a new mailbox on our 2003 Exch server and change the MAPI profile on the BES server or?

any issues going to Exch2003 from Exch2000?

Ok, create a mailbox for that user; and verify mailflow to / from it.

Meaning ... you weren't running your BES on your mail server? If so, GOOD ... it doesn't belong on there; unless you're using BPS (BlackBerry Professional Software)

Yup ... I'd still recomment blowing away the account and going through the full procedure so you understand the whole process and have a complete guide.

No, you'll need to update the MAPI components however ... follow: KB05034 - Migrate from Exchange 2000 to 2003 in a BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.0 or 4.1 environment and you'll be good.
