Default Another Knife-Edge Cutover Question

Please Login to Remove!

I am now nearly ready for knife-edge action! Just a couple of things to get right in my mind.

Our new BES has a different computer name from the old one, does this matter? The BES installation is still the same (blackberry1).

Other than that I have fulfilled all prerequisites, BES 4.1.4 is installed on the new sever. As far as I can see all I have left to do now is back-up the old server. Upgrade the old BES to 4.1.4 and then follow the instructions in KB03112 to copy the database across.

Hopefully I'm not missing anything!

The machine name doesn't matter at all. Only the logical BES name matters, that has to be the same in both BES Managers for this to work.

Sounds like you've got everything else in order.

Let us know how it goes.
