Default OS 4.5 - HTML E-mail and 2 BES servers

To all you BES admins out there, I have a issue that has been perplexing me for a little while now and I was wondering if anyone could offer some insight. Here is my situation.

My setup:

I have OS 4.5 loaded on my Blackberry. My Blackberry is connected to a BES running 4.1.5 and it is also connected a desktop redirector for a completely different email account. Through that desktop redirector, I get push email and am able to wireless sync my calendar, contacts, memos, etc. (So, my BB is not really on 2 different BES, but something similar). The service books for my BES are called "desktop" and the service books for my desktop redirector are called "work."

My issue:

When my Blackberry is only connected to the BES, before I do the activation to add the desktop redirector account, I get HTML emails no problem. However, after I add the desktop redirector account (i.e. the service books for "work" are added), HTML email will not display. When I hit "get images," the BB acts like it is downloading the images (i.e. I see the arrows in the upper right hand corner appear showing data activity), but then it never displays them.

I have looked at each of the relevant service books to try to see if routing of any data has changed, and everything looks good. I am curious to see if anyone has any ideas on why this is happening.

Thanks.

You should not have Desktop Redirector and BES on the same device. You are likely going to run into service book issues.

Instead of Desktop Redirector, you should set up that email account using BIS.

Thanks for your response. I was very hesitant when I first did this. However, since I first setup my BB this way 6 months ago, I have had no problems whatsoever with running two accounts this way. Moreover, the only real reason I set it up this way is because the second account is an exchange account which does not support POP3 or IMAP, so I have no real other option to sync this account with my BB. This issue with HTML email is only first and only issue I have had. (knock on wood).
