| Help migrating to diff version on diff server Please Login to Remove! We are running BES (small business edition?) 4.0.6.7 on a Win2k Small Business Server. Company wants to migrate to Blackberry Professional Server, because the software is free, and we will then be able to go beyond the 15 user license limit that exists in this small business edition.
I would like to install BES Professional onto a new win2k3 sp2 server, and host the database on my existing SQL2k5 server.
How on earth do I make this happen? It is absolutely not possible to 'upgrade' to Professional on the existing bes box. It absolutely has no resources available (disk, memory, etc).
Can I install Professional as a separate new installation on the new win2k3 server, and then also move the sbs db to sql 2005? Will Professional talk to the SBS version of the bes database? Is there some conversion utility Ill need?
Dont know where else to turn to get explanations on this process. Thanks in advance.
