Default Browser MDS / OTA Apps

I have recently had our BES software upgraded to 4.1.5.25, during this I discovered "IT Policies" (Yes, Really!) we did not have one in place before just an empty default one.
I have created my self a policy but I am having a few small issues with the browsers. I have been researching this for weeks but I am finding that I don’t know enough about blackberry’s to even search effectively.

My main issue at the moment is that I want to stop all browsers but the MDS one (I believe that this one comes in the bundle from OPTUS). The problem that I have is that some time on my test phone I have one browser other times I have two, I am really not sure what I need to change to disable the other browser completely.
I tried to change the name of the MDS browser so that I knew what was what but that didn't seem to have any affect.

the other issue is that I have about 25-45 people that will require Google Maps, the only way that I would want to let people have this application is by making 100% sure that this application goes through our company bundle and not through the WAP browser. I found this link that I believe if I follow it I should be able to do the opposite and lock it down - Google Maps BES error - PinStack.com - BlackBerry forums (Sorry for external link).

Also if someone could point me in the direction of a guide that shows how to do an application push I would like to learn this so that I can do patches/apps roll outs when needed.

Any help or pointers would be awesome, even just the correct terminology so that I can Google it would be a massive help.

I found this information that solves the browser issue, does anyone know if you can use google maps in the same way?
