Default Enterprise Activation

if my bb is already activated ota, but then i upgrade my handheld software, do i need to do ota activation again? or can i just cable it via usb to my pc and have desktop manager activate it?

It depends how Desktop Manager was installed and configured.

If Desktop Manager is set up for BES connectivity, then the device will auto-activate when you cable it via USB.
