Default Odd 4.1.5 BES behaviour

Please Login to Remove!

To keep it short:

I've got a working 8310 on my corporate BES (can wirelessly send/receive email, etc etc). The only problem is with the BES manager showing:

1) Still says "Initializing" for my username;
2) Does not know my PIN number;
3) Is not using my primary SMTP address in the Exchange organization.

I'm a touch baffled as to the BESs beviour.

This BB was not activated OTA, but with a USB cable. I don't see how that could cause this problem though since at least the email address was wrong before I even tried activating.

Now, I know my mailbox is quite unique in the company (long story!) but I've been on BES for the best part of 18 months and never seen this before.

Anyone want to have a pop at why this is happening?

U sure your telco has set you up with a BES plan instead of BIS? I had that happen to me where email was syncing but not contacts and calender and it was always stuck at "Initializing." Turns out, they put me on BIS and not BES. Once that was done, these issues went away

Just to have some closure on this thread, I believe this problem was caused by AD replication issues. Wrt to my account, BES was fine by this morning.
