Question bes activation- mail synchronization

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to have all the email displayed in my mailbox show to may BB phone? I want to have mails that are 45 days old, sych with my phone, also mails that are in my subfolder that are a year old BUT are important to be shown as well.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. It only syncs new mail. A certain amount of old mail will be moved over to the BB when a new device is activated but not that much.

With OS 4.5 and BES 4.1.5 there is a new feature of being able to search the remote server for mail. Nice feature. Once the search is complete you can move the mail to the device, if desired. That might be an option.

The maximum is 750 messages with maximum age of 14 days.
I had this problem also some time ago that users want more or older mails.
I wrote a short agent (for selected documents) that sets (as far as i remember) routed time and postet date to actual time, this forces the BES to synch this messages.
John, do you have a link to this new feature with 4.1.5 ? Sounds interesting, would like to read more about it .

+1 on using remote search. There's really no reason to have all the messages on the device ... just ACCESS to all of them I would think.
